Jiangxi Haoxiang Glass Co., Ltd.: Orders are orders

2023-08-30

The scorching sun blazed down on the earth, and even the cicadas remained perched high in the trees. “Don’t, don’t!” they kept calling out incessantly, but it didn’t slow down the hardworking glassworkers at all as they rushed to meet the deadline. With the start of the school season approaching, the company has received consecutive orders for glass installations in multiple school buildings. However, due to delays on the construction site caused by the contractor’s schedule issues, the glass orders were placed later than planned. Now, the team must coordinate closely with the construction crew to ensure the project is completed promptly and within the required timeframe.

Orders are commands—customers come first, and collaboration leads to mutual success. After multiple rounds of negotiation and discussion with clients, General Manager Wen Xiaochong has finalized the plans and, through various channels, assigned tasks to the company’s internal teams. These teams are working closely together, with each step seamlessly connected, ensuring a steady and efficient progression of the project.

Action follows command, and success is assured when action is taken. As the saying goes, "Many hands make light work"—through the concerted efforts of every employee at the company, working together seamlessly and fulfilling their respective roles to the best of their abilities, several key customer project orders were completed and delivered on schedule, leaving our clients thoroughly satisfied. Embracing challenges head-on and boldly striving forward: this is the spirited, determined mindset that defines the Haoxiang Glass family as we relentlessly pursue our goals.

Bent tempered steel glass

Tempered glass is produced by first cutting ordinary annealed glass into the desired dimensions, then heating it to around 700°C—close to its softening point—and subsequently cooling it rapidly and uniformly. (Typically, 5–6 mm-thick glass is heated at 700°C for about 240 seconds, followed by a cooling period of roughly 150 seconds. For 8–10 mm-thick glass, the heating process lasts approximately 500 seconds at 700°C, with a cooling phase of about 300 seconds. In general, the heating and cooling times vary depending on the glass thickness.) After tempering, a uniform compressive stress forms on the glass surface, while tensile stress develops internally, significantly enhancing the glass's resistance to bending and impact. As a result, tempered glass boasts a strength that is more than four times greater than that of ordinary annealed glass. However, once glass has been fully tempered, it can no longer undergo any further processing, such as cutting or grinding, nor can it sustain damage. Otherwise, disrupting the balanced compressive stress could cause the glass to shatter completely into tiny fragments.
