This process creates a low-expansion silicate glass with a thermal expansion coefficient of 1.8 × 10⁻⁶/°F (3.24 × 10⁻⁶/K), giving it exceptional heat resistance. Additionally, after physical treatment, the glass surface develops an exceptionally strong compressive stress, significantly enhancing its impact resistance. When the glass breaks, it shatters into tiny, granular fragments, minimizing the risk of injury to people! Single-pane cesium-potassium fire-resistant glass boasts strength 6 to 12 times greater than ordinary glass—and 1.5 to 3 times stronger than tempered glass!
