Jiangxi Haoxiang Glass Safety Production & Quality Improvement Promotion Meeting

2022-11-01

To ensure the implementation of the company's safety production responsibilities and to guarantee that all safety measures are effectively put into place, while maintaining unwavering focus on product quality, the company held a company-wide meeting on August 1, chaired by General Manager Wen Xiaochong.
General Manager Wen Xiaochong delivered a speech at the meeting, emphasizing that hot summer days are the most challenging period for machinery and electrical systems due to high-temperature operations, while also posing significant risks of fatigue, reduced concentration, and increased accident likelihood for workers. The meeting underscored that ensuring workplace safety requires the full attention and active participation of every employee. Key directives were communicated as follows: 1. Each team should conduct self-checks within their respective work areas to identify any potential safety hazards. 2. All high-power electrical equipment must undergo enhanced routine inspections to prevent overheating and mitigate the risk of safety incidents. 3. The logistics department is tasked with providing ample supplies of cooling ingredients and heatstroke-prevention medications for employees. Additionally, all staff members are encouraged to elevate their quality awareness by: 1. Strengthening both self-inspections and mutual checks on product quality, maintaining unwavering commitment to excellence. 2. Continuously improving customer service quality to foster long-term, stable partnerships with clients.
Finally, General Manager Wen Xiaochong summarized the meeting by emphasizing: "We must firmly ensure thorough inspections, effective rectifications, and complete implementation in safety production. At the same time, we will continuously enhance and refine both the product quality and service quality of Jiangxi Haoxiang Glass, striving to build the 'Haoxiang Glass' regional brand with unwavering dedication. All employees are encouraged to actively embody their personal values in their daily work."

Bent tempered steel glass

Tempered glass is produced by first cutting ordinary annealed glass into the desired dimensions, then heating it to around 700°C—close to its softening point—and subsequently cooling it rapidly and uniformly. (Typically, 5–6 mm-thick glass is heated at 700°C for about 240 seconds, followed by a cooling period of roughly 150 seconds. For 8–10 mm-thick glass, the heating process lasts approximately 500 seconds at 700°C, with a cooling phase of about 300 seconds. In general, the heating and cooling times vary depending on the glass thickness.) After tempering, a uniform compressive stress forms on the glass surface, while tensile stress develops internally, significantly enhancing the glass's resistance to bending and impact. As a result, tempered glass boasts a strength that is more than four times greater than that of ordinary annealed glass. However, once glass has been fully tempered, it can no longer undergo any further processing, such as cutting or grinding, nor can it sustain damage. Otherwise, disrupting the balanced compressive stress could cause the glass to shatter completely into tiny fragments.
